Setting Up Other Email Programs

Below are some screen shots of other Email programs and how to set them up to receive your email that is hosted on our server.

This will show you the basic settings you need to send and receive emails with Thunderbird.

  • incoming mail server and port (pop.ipage.com and port 110)
  • outgoing mail server and port (smtp.ipage.com and port 25)

    First, open the Account Settings (Tools | Account Settings). In the Account Settings dialog, in the left pane, select Outgoing Server (SMTP) from the bottom of the list. Be sure your SMTP settings look like Fig.1.

    Then, click on the Server Settings option under your new account. Make sure the entries in the following fields correspond to the POP settings given to you by your email provider. Fig.2

    This will show you how to set up your email in Microsoft Outlook.
    1. Open Outlook
    2. Click File.
    3. Select Info.
    4. Click Add Account.
    5. Select Manually configure server settings or additional server types.
    6. Click Next.
    7. Select Internet Email.
    8. Click Next.
    9. Fill in the following information:
      • Your Name: The name to display on your email
      • Email Address: Your full email address
      • Account Type: POP3 (same as POP)
      • Incoming mail server: pop.ipage.com
      • Outgoing mail server (SMTP): smtp.ipage.com
      • User Name: Your full email address
      • Password: Your email password
      • Remember password: We recommend that you keep this checked.
      • Require logon using Secure Password Authentication (SPA): We recommend that you keep this unchecked.

    10. Click More Settings.
    11. Click Outgoing Server.
    12. Check My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication.
    13. Select Use same settings as my incoming mail server.
    14. Click Advanced.
    15. Fill in the following information:
      • Incoming Server (POP3): 110
      • Outgoing Server (SMTP): 587
    16. Click OK.
    17. Click Next to complete the set-up.

    This will explain setting up and/or updating the settings for your Windows Mail.

    1. Open Windows Live Mail. In the lower-left corner, click Mail.

    2. Click the Accounts tab, and then click Email.

    3. Type your email address, password, and display name, and then click Next.

    4. Your servers are POP3 incoming: pop.ipage.com and outgoing smtp.ipage.com

    5. To change current settings.

      1. Open Windows Live Mail.
      2. Click the email account you want to change.

      3. Click the Accounts tab, and then click Properties.

      4. Click the Servers tab, type the information provided by your email service provider, and then click OK. (see example above)
